Swoon-worthy photos & other lovely developments

Huge thank you and lots of love for everyone who came out to CocoaNymph Chocolates & Confections on April 4th to hear our amazing authors read from their original work: Joelle Barron, Nicole Boyce, Sugar le Fae, Taylor Basso, Rachel Sawatzky, Jennifer Zilm, Sierra Skye Gemma, and Garth Martens! I hope you’ve been watching our Facebook page and following us on Twitter @swoonvancouver. If you’re not following us yet, please do–it’s the best way to discover future updates about our upcoming events and learn how to support our authors and buy copies of their stuff. Once again, thank you to our talented readers, to CocoaNymph, to our photographer Matt, balloon-deliverer James, beautiful poster-designer and co-host Jeffrey Ricker, and to our LOVELY audience! You made Spring 2014 Swoon a complete success!

For those of you who have been waiting patiently for the photos from April 4th: thank you! Our photographer Matt ended up in the process of moving and so he had to delay getting the photos for you. Here there are now, for you to enjoy!

For those of you who haven’t heard the sad news, the wonderful CocoaNymph Chocolates & Confections is closing its doors at the end of the month. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank Rachel (and her staff). CocoaNymph has been such an amazing venue: it is not only where we hosted our events, but it is also the place where we dreamed up the reading series in the first place, where we sat and drank chocolate and planned and read and wrote and loved. CocoaNymph has been a lovely part of our community! If you can, show your support for a local business by stopping by CocoaNymph for some farewell chocolate before the 31th! Swoon will continue to be your literary community about love, sex, and chocolate–keep following us on Facebook, Twitter, and our website for updates about our Swooners and our upcoming fall 2014 event! We’ve got exciting news to announce very, very soon! (Update: here’s our post with our exciting news.)

Thanks to everyone, from your co-hosts Ruth Daniell & Jeffrey Ricker
